Where Military and Community Meet

Augusta Quality of Life Study

Presented by: CSRA Alliance for Fort Gordon

CSRA ALLIANCE FOR FORT GORDON

The primary purpose of the CSRA Alliance for Fort Gordon is to demonstrate the potential for Fort Gordon to grow existing missions and take on new missions. Additionally, the Alliance promotes economic development through partnerships capitalizing on the information technology, communications and medical expertise prominent at Fort Gordon.

The reports following approach the topic of quality of life from a broad and comprehensive perspective. The scope of the various reports aims to address specific quality of life issues identified by the Army and the Department of Defense as vital to recruitment, retention and readiness: cost of living, housing availability and affordability, employment opportunities for military spouses, education, and recreational opportunities. Other important quality of life issues, such as medical facilities, law enforcement and fire protection services, are also examined.
