The Alliance Welcomes Col Reginal (Reggie) Evans the new Fort Gordon Garrison Commander

Biography: Col Reginald Evans – Colonel, United States Army

COL Reggie Evans entered active duty in 1999 with a commission in the Signal Corps with a detailed assignment in Armor at Prairie View A&M University. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He received his Strategic Studies Master’s Degree from the Air War College.

COL Evans previously served as the Division G6 for the 1st Armored Division at Fort Bliss, Texas, and as the Division Chief of Tactical Networks in the Army G6, Washington, DC. COL Evans has served in warfighting formations from platoon to division level and has six operational and combat deployments.

Additional assignments include: Scout Platoon Leader, E-Troop 2/2 Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Polk, LA; S6, 519th Military Police Battalion, Fort Polk, LA; S6, 3-66 Armor Battalion and 7-10 Cavalry Squadron, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4ID, Fort Hood, TX; Commander, B. COL Evans is a graduate of the Airborne School, Air Assault School, Armor Officer Basic Course, Signal Officer Qualification Course, Signal Captains Career Course, Combined Armed Services Staff School, Command and General Staff College, Joint Combined Warfighting School, and the Air War College. He is authorized to wear the Combat Action Badge, U.S. Army Parachutist Badge, U. S. Army Air Assault Badge, Joint Chiefs of Staff Identification Badge, and the Army Staff Identification Badge.

His awards and decorations include: The Bronze Star Medal with (3OLC), Defense Meritorious Service Medal with (1OLC), Meritorious Service Medal with (2OLC), Army Commendation Medal with (4OLC), Army Achievement Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Citation Medal with (2OLC), National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, and Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.

COL Evans has one son, Brandon who is 15 years old.
