A New Year of Reflection, Vision, and Possibility

Terra L. Carroll, IOM, CCEC, President/CEO

As we welcome 2026, we do so with the deep sense of gratitude, pride and purpose.

This year signals a remarkable milestone for the North Augusta Chamber of Commerce—75 years of service to the greater North Augusta community. For three-quarters of a century, the Chamber has been a trusted partner to business, a convener of leaders, and a champion for economic vitality. Our story is one of resilience, relationships, and an unwavering belief in the power of community.

As we reflect on the past 75 years, we honor the founders, volunteers, members and leaders who built an organization grounded in service and stewardship. Their vision created a strong foundation—one that has supported generations of entrepreneurs, strengthened our local economy, and helped North Augusta grow and thrive.

But reflection is not simply about looking back. In 2026, reflection also means looking forward.

This anniversary year invites us to ask important questions about the future of business, leadership, and community. How do we prepare the next generation of employers and employees? How do we embrace innovation—including artificial intelligence and emerging technologies—while preserving the values that define us? How do we ensure North Augusta remains competitive, connected, and forward-thinking for decades to come?

The answers lie in intentional visioning. In the year ahead, the Chamber will focus on:

  • Preparing the next generation of business leaders through workforce development, internships, mentorship, and education
  • Leveraging innovation and technology as tools to enhance productivity, decision-making, and opportunity—not replace relationships
  • Strengthening connections between legacy businesses and emerging entrepreneurs
  • Championing a future-ready economy that values adaptability, inclusion, and long-term sustainability

Our 75th anniversary theme, Reflections, is more than a celebration, it’s a call to action. It reminds us that the future is shaped by what we choose to carry forward from our past, and by the courage we show in embracing what’s next.

As we celebrate this milestone throughout the year, we will honor our legacy while actively designing the future of business in North Augusta. Together—with our members, partners, and community—we will reflect, innovate, and lead with purpose.

Thank you for being a part of this journey. The next chapter begins now.

With appreciation and optimism,

Terra
