AUGUSTA, Ga. – AT&T and Human I-T provided the Alliance for Fort Gordon with 100 refurbished laptops today to distribute to Fort Gordon families. The computers, funded by an AT&T contribution, were given to families at Fort Gordon to help them fully participate in today’s digital world.
Established in 2003, the Alliance for Fort Gordon’s mission is to promote, coordinate and advocate for the Fort Gordon Cyber District to stimulate investment in cyber growth and capitalize on opportunities for the benefit of all.
“Having access to technology is essential in today’s increasing digital world. AT&T’s donation of laptops will provide Fort Gordon families with the technology they need to access educational and community resources and fully participate in today’s 21st century economy,” said Dr. Tom Clark, Executive Director, the Alliance for Fort Gordon. “We are grateful for AT&T’s continued support of the Alliance for Fort Gordon and the work they do to empower families and youth in our region.”

This device distribution effort is part of the AT&T Connected Learning® initiative to help address the digital divide through internet accessibility, affordability and safe adoption. AT&T is committing $5 billion to help 25 million people get and stay connected to high-speed internet by 2030.
